MARISARA
Receive her college degree, a Bachelors of Arts with Honors from Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts. Later she enrolled at the University of Puerto Rico School of Law, where she was accepted into a joint degree program with the University of Barcelona School of Law. She received a Juris Doctor at the University of Puerto Rico and an equivalent degree from the University of Barcelona.
Marisara has ample experience in the legal field. She spent 5 years in key positions at the Government of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. Her areas of expertise are public administration, contracts, property law, and sports and recreation public policy. She is experienced at putting together complex Power Point presentations, editing, proofreading, and translating them. These presentations were created mostly in the legal and business field to attract large capital investment of companies in the pharmaceutical industry.
Recently, she has become involved in the English as a Foreign Language field. All her workshops and seminars are geared towards challenging the teachers to become more effective at: developing students’ autonomous learning skills, enhancing the teachers comfort level with technology so that their classes become a blended learning experience for the students and finally, looking at English as a communication tool to learn other contents as well as the language itself.
Her first translation experience came just after College working with an NGO in D.C. where she was instructed to translate volumes of Guidelines of the Federal Housing and Urban Development Agency. Her largest translation job so far has been a full course of Coaching Manuals that are currently being used in Colombia, Peru and Puerto Rico. Additionally, she has worked with a Mexican ceramist translating his proposals and presentations for Art Galleries and Art Institutes in the US.
is an entrepreneur with extensive experience in business, real estate, construction and manufacturing fields. As a corporate executive and entrepreneur, he has expertise preparing and presenting business plans, financial statements, due diligence reports among others. He is knowledgeable in the administration, operations, marketing and financial aspects of an organization.
Mr. Meléndez has bachelor degree in Business Administration with two majors, in Finance and Accounting. He is a licensed real estate broker since November 2000 and is registered at the US Federal Housing Administration (HUD) which allows him to sell residential properties owned by the Agency. He has translated guides and brochures for new products, and business manuals on various topics. He has worked closely with clients and associates who speak English or Spanish, establishing a good business rapport.
